Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment 2026 (Intake 02/2027)

Introduction

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official recruitment advertisement for Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. Unmarried Indian male and female candidates who meet the educational and physical criteria can apply online at agnipathvayu.cdac.in. The online registration process starts on July 6, 2026, and ends on July 26, 2026. Selected candidates will serve in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years.

Service Benefits & Salary Package

Agniveervayu will be paid a monthly package of Rs. 30,000/- in the first year with annual increments. A customized Seva Nidhi package will be given upon completion of four years:

• 1st Year: Rs. 30,000/- (In-hand: Rs. 21,000/-, Agniveer Corpus Fund: Rs. 9,000/-)
• 2nd Year: Rs. 33,000/- (In-hand: Rs. 23,100/-, Agniveer Corpus Fund: Rs. 9,900/-)
• 3rd Year: Rs. 36,500/- (In-hand: Rs. 25,550/-, Agniveer Corpus Fund: Rs. 10,950/-)
• 4th Year: Rs. 40,000/- (In-hand: Rs. 28,000/-, Agniveer Corpus Fund: Rs. 12,000/-)

After 4 years, candidates will receive around Rs. 10.04 Lakhs as Seva Nidhi Package (accumulated contribution plus interest), exempted from income tax.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

Candidate should be born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive). In case a candidate clears all the stages of the selection exam, the upper age limit as on the date of enrollment should be 21 years.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from an Education Board listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course.

Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent exam in any stream/subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of three phases:

Phase-I: Online Test (CBT)

The test contains objective-type questions. Language of paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper. Science subjects paper duration is 60 minutes (Physics, Mathematics, and English). Other than science subjects paper duration is 45 minutes (English, Reasoning & General Awareness - RAGA). Both papers together take 85 minutes.

Phase-II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) & Adaptability Tests

Candidates qualifying Phase-I will be called for Phase-II at designated ASC. PFT includes a 1.6 km run to be completed within 7 minutes (male) and 8 minutes (female), along with push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. Adaptability Tests 1 & 2 will follow.

Phase-III: Medical Examination

Medical assessment as per Indian Air Force standards.

3. Fill in the registration form to obtain login credentials.
4. Log in and fill in the detailed online application form.
5. Select stream preference (Science, Other than Science, or Both).
6. Upload scanned signature, thumb impression, photograph (holding a black slate with name and date of photo written in white chalk).
7. Pay the exam fee of Rs. 550/- + GST using payment gateway options.
8. Submit and download printout of the application form.
