Primary Teacher PRT 1673 posts in Pay Level 6 to teach classes 1 to 5. PRT Music 284 posts to teach music in primary classes. Librarian 97 posts to manage school library. Total approximately 7000 posts. ## Educational Qualification For PGT post graduation in relevant subject with 50 percent marks and Bachelor of Education B Ed with 50 percent is required. CTET Paper 2 qualified. For TGT graduation with 50 percent in relevant subject or subjects and B Ed with 50 percent. CTET Paper 2 qualified. For PRT graduation with 50 percent and two year Diploma in Elementary Education D El Ed or two year Diploma in Education special education or B Ed. CTET Paper 1 qualified. For Principal Master degree in relevant subject plus M Ed with experience. For Vice Principal Master degree plus M Ed or B Ed with experience. Detailed eligibility in official notification. ## Age Limit For TGT and PRT posts candidates should be between 18 to 35 years as on last date of application. For PGT posts age limit is 18 to 40 years. For Principal and Vice Principal age limit is as per KVS service rules. Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, 10 years for PwD candidates, and for ex servicemen as per rules. Age is relaxed for departmental candidates also. ## Selection Process Written examination is computer based test CBT conducted online. For PGT paper has 180 marks for 3 hours. Part 1 General English 10 marks, Part 2 General Hindi 10 marks, Part 3 General Knowledge and Current Affairs 40 marks, Part 4 Reasoning and Numerical Ability 40 marks, Part 5 Teaching Methodology 40 marks, Part 6 Subject Knowledge 60 marks. For TGT pattern is similar with subject knowledge section. For PRT child pedagogy language and other sections. There is negative marking of one third for wrong answers. Candidates qualifying written test are called for interview which carries 60 marks for PGT TGT and other posts. In some cases demo teaching is also conducted to assess teaching skills. Final merit is prepared on basis of written test plus interview marks. ## Salary Structure Principal gets Pay Level 12 basic Rs 78,800 per month. Vice Principal Pay Level 11 Rs 67,700. PGT Pay Level 8 Rs 47,600. TGT Pay Level 7 Rs 44,900. PRT Pay Level 6 Rs 35,400. With Dearness Allowance House Rent Allowance Transport Allowance Medical Allowance and Children Education Allowance the total in hand salary ranges from Rs 60,000 for PRT to Rs 80,000 for PGT to over Rs 1,00,000 for Principal.
