Bihar Public Service Commission BPSC conducts Combined Competitive Examination CCE annually for recruitment to various Group A and Group B posts in Bihar state government departments. BPSC 70th CCE 2025 has notification for 1929 posts across multiple services making it one of the largest state level civil services recruitment in Bihar. ## Post Wise Vacancies District Welfare Officer has 45 posts responsible for implementing social welfare schemes at district level. Block Welfare Officer 87 posts working at block level for welfare programs. Revenue Officer 165 posts dealing with land revenue records and collection. Planning Officer 54 posts for district and state level planning. Supply Inspector 213 posts for monitoring Public Distribution System and essential commodities. Child Development Project Officer CDPO 78 posts managing Anganwadi and child nutrition schemes. District Minority Welfare Officer 23 posts for welfare of minority communities. Other posts in various departments total 1264 including posts in agriculture horticulture fisheries industries labor employment etc. Total 1929 vacancies. ## Educational Qualification Any bachelor degree from a university recognized by UGC is acceptable. No specific stream or subject restriction. No minimum percentage criteria specified. Even candidates who have just passed graduation without good marks can apply. Final year students appearing in final semester examination can also apply provided they submit proof of passing before interview stage. Professional degrees like LLB BEd Engineering Medical are also considered as graduation. ## Age Limit For General Unreserved candidates age should be between 20 to 37 years as on 01-08-2025. For BC Backward Classes and EBC Extremely Backward Classes candidates belonging to Bihar the upper age limit is extended to 40 years. For SC Scheduled Caste and ST Scheduled Tribe candidates of Bihar the upper age is 42 years. Female candidates of all categories in Bihar get upper age relaxation up to 40 years. Persons with Disability get additional 10 years relaxation. These age relaxations are as per Bihar government reservation policy. ## Three Stage Selection Preliminary Examination is qualifying cum ranking exam with 150 objective questions for 150 marks to be completed in 2 hours. With Dearness Allowance House Rent Allowance and other allowances the in hand salary ranges from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000 per month depending on post and place of posting.
