ISRO Recruitment 2025: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Posts – Apply by 10 November 2025

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is inviting applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at its various research centers across India. This opportunity is ideal for research-driven individuals who wish to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in space science, satellite technology, and space applications.


Position Details:

  • Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Organization: ISRO – Department of Space, Government of India

  • Location: ISRO research centers (e.g., SAC Ahmedabad, URSC Bengaluru, IIRS Dehradun)

  • Last Date to Apply: 10 November 2025

  • Monthly Fellowship: ₹37,000 per month + HRA (as per norms)

  • Duration: Initially 2 years; extendable or upgraded to SRF based on performance


Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

  • M.Sc./M.Tech in Physics, Atmospheric Science, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Astronomy, Space Science, or related fields.

  • Candidates must have secured at least 65% marks or 6.8 CGPA in the qualifying degree.

Desirable:

  • Valid NET/GATE qualification is mandatory.

  • Strong interest and academic background in space applications, satellite data analysis, or related research.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum Age: 28 years (as of 1 October 2025)

  • Age relaxation as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.


Selection Process:

  • Shortlisting based on academic performance and research background.

  • Interview (online or in-person) conducted by ISRO’s selection committee.
