About NHPC Apprentice Recruitment 2025
National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), a premier Schedule-A Mini Ratna PSU under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has released a notification for the engagement of 361 apprentices in multiple trades and disciplines. This is a valuable opportunity for engineering graduates, diploma holders, and ITI pass-outs to gain practical work experience in a reputed government organization.

Total Vacancies: 361 Posts
Apprentices will be appointed in various NHPC projects and power stations across India. The division of vacancies is as follows:

Graduate Apprentice – Engineering/Technical Streams

Diploma Apprentice – Engineering/Polytechnic Streams
-
ITI Apprentice – Trades such as Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Mechanic, etc.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
-
Graduate Apprentice: Full-time B.E./B.Tech in relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university/institute.

Diploma Apprentice: Full-time Diploma in engineering from a recognized polytechnic institute.

ITI Apprentice: Passed ITI in relevant trade from a recognized NCVT/SCVT institution.
Additional Conditions:

Candidates should not have completed 1 year or more of training/employment after obtaining the qualifying degree/diploma/ITI.

Candidates must be registered on NATS (for Graduate/Diploma) or NAPS (for ITI) portal.
Stipend Details

Graduate Apprentices: ₹15,000 per month

Diploma Apprentices: ₹13,500 per month

ITI Apprentices: As per Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (varies by trade and location)
Note: No additional allowance such as HRA, medical, etc., will be provided.
Selection Process
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of:

Merit List prepared from academic marks (no written test)

Document Verification

Medical Fitness Certificate
Preference will be given to candidates from the local area of NHPC project stations.
