About DRDO RAC Scientist-B Recruitment 2025
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), through its Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), invites bright, qualified, and motivated Indian nationals to apply online for the post of Scientist-B. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Applicants must hold one of the following from a recognized university/institute:

B.E./B.Tech in the relevant engineering discipline (First Class)

M.E./M.Tech in relevant specialization (First Class)
-
M.Sc in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Psychology, etc. (First Class)
A valid GATE score is mandatory in most disciplines.
Age Limit (as on 15th October 2025):

General / EWS: Max 28 years

OBC (NCL): Max 31 years

SC / ST: Max 33 years

PwBD / Defence Personnel: As per rules
Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on:

Shortlisting through GATE Score

Final merit will be based on the combined weightage of the GATE score and interview performance.
Pay Scale / Salary

Level-10 of Pay Matrix: ₹56,100/- per month (7th CPC)

Gross monthly salary at the time of joining: Approx ₹88,000/- (including allowances)
