Staff Selection Commission has released Combined Graduate Level Examination 2025 notification for approximately 17000 vacancies across various Group B and Group C posts in different ministries and departments of Central Government. SSC CGL is one of the most prestigious and competitive examinations in India. ## Major Posts Included Inspector Income Tax and Central Excise in Pay Level 7 with around 2500 posts involves tax collection and enforcement. Assistant Section Officer in ministries Pay Level 6 with 3000 posts handles secretariat work. Sub Inspector in CBI NIA Pay Level 6 with 800 posts for investigation duties. Auditor in Comptroller Auditor General office Pay Level 5 with 1500 posts. Accountant posts 1500 in various ministries. Tax Assistant in Income Tax Department Pay Level 4 with 3200 posts. Upper Division Clerk in central government offices 2000 posts. Statistical Investigator Grade II in statistical offices 500 posts. Other posts approximately 4500. ## Qualification Details Bachelor degree in any discipline from a university recognized by UGC is required. Some posts like Statistical Investigator need Mathematics or Statistics at graduation level. Junior Statistical Officer needs Mathematics Statistics or Economics. No minimum percentage required but degree must be completed before document verification. Final year students can also apply. ## Age Criteria Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 32 years as on 01-01-2025. For OBC candidates maximum age is 35 years with 3 years relaxation. For SC ST candidates it is 37 years with 5 years relaxation. For PwD candidates 10 years additional relaxation. For Ex Servicemen relaxation as per government rules. For departmental candidates with 3 years service maximum age is 40 years. ## Tier Wise Selection Tier 1 Computer Based Test is qualifying cum ranking exam with 100 questions for 200 marks in 60 minutes. General Intelligence Reasoning has 25 questions, General Awareness 25, Quantitative Aptitude 25 and English Comprehension 25. Each wrong answer attracts 0.50 marks negative marking. Tier 2 has multiple sessions. Session 1 is compulsory for all with Mathematical Abilities 30 questions 90 marks in 1 hour, Reasoning and General Intelligence 30 questions 60 marks in 1 hour, English Language Comprehension 45 questions 135 marks in 1 hour, General Awareness 25 questions 75 marks in 45 minutes, Computer Knowledge Test 20 questions 60 marks in 15 minutes. Session 2 has Statistics Paper 1 for Statistical Investigator JSO and Paper 2 General Studies Finance Economics for AAO posts. Tier 3 is descriptive for certain posts. Document verification for all. Some posts have additional skill tests. ## Pay and Perks Pay Level 8 posts get Rs 47,600 to 1,51,100 basic. With DA HRA and allowances in hand salary is Rs 70,000 to 85,000 per month. Pay Level 7 gets Rs 44,900 to 1,42,400 basic with in hand around Rs 65,000. Pay Level 6 gets Rs 35,400 to 1,12,400 with in hand Rs 55,000 to 65,000. Pay Level 5 gets Rs 29,200 to 92,300 with in hand Rs 45,000 to 55,000. Pay Level 4 gets Rs 25,500 to 81,100 with in hand Rs 40,000 to 50,000. All posts get HRA DA TA medical facilities LTC children education allowance pension under NPS and other central government benefits. ## How to Apply Online Visit ssc.gov.in official website. Click on apply online for Combined Graduate Level Examination 2025. Register with unique email ID and mobile number. Fill registration Part 1 with basic details. Login again and fill Part 2 with detailed information about educational qualifications posts preference and exam center. Upload recent color photograph and signature in JPG format within size limit. Pay application fee through online mode using Net Banking Debit Card Credit Card or UPI. Submit application and note down registration number. Download and print the confirmation page. ## Application Fee Payment For General OBC EWS male candidates fee is Rs 100. For women candidates of all categories fee is nil. For SC ST PwD candidates fee is nil. Ex Servicemen are also exempted from fee. Payment must be done online only. For General Awareness read current affairs of last 6 months, static GK covering History Geography Polity Economy Science Environment Sports Awards Books Authors etc. Solve previous year papers of last 10 years. Take weekly full length mock tests. Analyze mistakes and work on weak areas.
