Railway Recruitment Board has announced Non Technical Popular Categories NTPC recruitment for 11558 vacancies across all railway zones in India. RRB NTPC is one of the most popular railway exams attracting crores of applicants every year for graduate and undergraduate level posts.
## Graduate Level Posts
Station Master posts 994 in Pay Level 6 responsible for train operations at railway stations. Goods Guard 3144 posts in Pay Level 5 managing freight train operations. Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk 1736 posts dealing with passenger tickets and commercial activities. Senior Clerk cum Typist 732 posts for office clerical work. Junior Account Assistant cum Typist 1507 posts in accounts departments. Senior Time Keeper 14 posts. Commercial Apprentice 59 posts in Pay Level 6. Traffic Apprentice 66 posts.
## Undergraduate Level Posts

## Educational Qualification
For graduate level posts Bachelor degree from recognized university in any discipline is required. For undergraduate level posts 12th pass from recognized board is sufficient. No minimum percentage criteria specified. Final year students for graduate posts and appearing students for 12th can also apply.
## Age Limit Requirements
Minimum age is 18 years. Maximum age for general candidates is 33 years as on 01-01-2025. OBC candidates can apply up to 36 years with 3 years relaxation. SC ST candidates up to 38 years with 5 years relaxation. PwD candidates get additional 10 years relaxation. Ex servicemen and departmental candidates have separate age relaxation as per railway rules.
## Selection Process Stages
First stage is Computer Based Test CBT 1 with 100 questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes. Mathematics 30 questions, General Intelligence Reasoning 30 questions, General Awareness 40 questions. Negative marking of one third mark for each wrong answer. Candidates qualifying CBT 1 as per their category cutoff will be called for next stage.
Second stage CBT 2 has 120 questions for 120 marks in 90 minutes. General Awareness 50 questions, Mathematics 35 questions, General Intelligence Reasoning 35 questions. Again negative marking of one third. For certain posts like Station Master and Traffic Apprentice there is Computer Based Aptitude Test CBAT to assess suitability.
Typing Skill Test is conducted for posts requiring typing like clerks. Minimum speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi or 40 wpm in English on computer. Document verification is done for checking educational certificates. Medical examination as per railway standards is mandatory. Final merit list is prepared based on CBT stage 2 marks.
## Pay Scale and Benefits
Pay Level 6 Station Master and Commercial Apprentice get basic Rs 35,400 going up to Rs 1,12,400 in later years. With DA HRA and allowances in hand salary is Rs 50,000 to 65,000 monthly. Pay Level 5 Goods Guard and Senior Clerk get Rs 29,200 to 92,300 with in hand around Rs 45,000 to 55,000. Pay Level 4 Senior Clerk cum Typist Rs 25,500 to 81,100. Pay Level 3 Commercial Ticket Clerk Rs 21,700 to 69,100. Pay Level 2 Junior Clerk Rs 19,900 to 63,200 with in hand Rs 30,000 to 35,000.
