What is the educational qualification for RRB Group D 2026?
Candidates must have passed the 10th pass (Matriculation) OR hold an ITI certificate from a recognized institute. Candidates waiting for final results are not eligible to apply.
What is the age limit for RRB Group D CEN 09/2025?
The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 33 years for UR/EWS candidates as of 01.01.2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for reserved categories (OBC-NCL: 36 years, SC/ST: 38 years).
What is the selection process for RRB Group D?
The selection process has four stages: 1) Computer Based Test (CBT), 2) Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - qualifying in nature, 3) Document Verification (DV), and 4) Medical Examination (ME). The final merit list is prepared based on CBT marks only.
What is the application fee and is it refundable?
General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates pay Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 refundable). SC/ST/PwBD/Female/ExSM/EBC candidates pay Rs. 250 (fully refundable). The fee is refunded (minus bank charges) to candidates who appear in the CBT.
What are the physical standards for the PET in RRB Group D?
Male candidates must lift and carry 35 Kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes and run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds. Female candidates must lift and carry 20 Kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes and run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds.
Is there negative marking in the RRB Group D CBT?
Yes, there is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer. The CBT consists of 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks, with a duration of 90 minutes.
What is the salary for RRB Group D posts?
The selected candidates will be appointed in Level-1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The approximate starting basic pay is Rs. 18,000, and with allowances, it can range between Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month depending on the place of posting.
