The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 01/2026 for the recruitment of 11,127 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts across various Railway Zones. This is a great opportunity for candidates seeking a career in the Indian Railways. **Eligibility Criteria:** * **Age Limit:** Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years as on 01-07-2026. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), Ex-Servicemen, Serving Railway Staff, and Widowed/Divorced/Judicially Separated Women as per government rules. * **Educational Qualification:** * Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from NCVT/SCVT in specified trades (Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, etc.) OR Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in these trades. * OR Matriculation / SSLC plus 3-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (or combination of these streams). * A Degree in the above Engineering disciplines is also acceptable in lieu of a Diploma. * **Medical Standard:** A-1. Syllabus includes Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science & Engineering. * Part-B (75 marks, 60 mins): Qualifying only (35% marks required). Trade-specific test. 3. **Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT):** Candidates shortlisted 8 times the vacancies. Minimum T-score of 42 in each test battery.
